Ownership of land identified on OS maps as 1261 & 1262 adjoining 1260, cottages known as Woodlands/Woodland View (1260 on OS map):

11/5/1903 Indenture between Albert Smith of Bagendon and Arthur J James of Edgeworth Manor conveyed 3 cottages with gardens etc and all pieces or parcels of land and woodland with the tile quarry therein lying in Waterlane nearly opposite to cottages designated 1258 on OS map occupied by William Pepworth, Edwin Gardiner and Fred Fern [Map]

1914 At death of Arthur J James, property went to his brother Alfred James, who died 1936 and thence to nephews H R James and F W Tite James.

27/9/1937 Ownership of 1258: 3 cottages, 1260 2 cottages and gardens , 1261 wood, and 1262 land,woodland and quarry passed to H R James solely [Map]

28/9/1937 Conveyance from H R James to Elizabeth Perkins, wife of Walter Frank Perkins of Lymington of Rookwoods, Limbricks and above group of cottages and land [Map] for £3750

25/3/1939 Deed of gift from Elizabeth Perkins to W R D Perkins [Map]

13/4/1954 Conveyance from Walter R D Perkins, knight, of Rookwoods to Nora Eefie Ash of The Cottage,Waterlane of 2 cottages with gardens (1260), grounds,woodland and pasture adjoining (1261 & 1262) for £600 [Map] Covenant on part of land held by Dennis McGettigan not to erect buildings without consent.

1/3/1966 Conveyance from Nora E Ash to E A Barnes, builder of Cheltenham of parcels of land, part of 1261 and 1262 for £1800 Information on owners/ occupiers of Bankside:
