From District Council Records - Dec 1887 to April 1913
The road from the bottom of Whiteway up to the Chapel is called 'Josephs Hill'.
The path from the P Office towards the Kiosk is called 'Shadricks' (note the splelling).
The footpath by Cobdens and up to the Shop and Post Office is called 'Whitings Pitch'.
The footpath from Cave Cottage down to the Old Mill House is called 'Mill Lane'.
The road or track from Waterlane to Far Oakridge, known as 'Accomodation Lane' has always been known as 'Dirty Track', not 'Pig Lane'.
